This blog is all about the must-haves for infant outdoor toys.

infant outdoor toys

Spending time outdoors is so important for every age, yes, even infants. In this post, I'm sharing my favorite must-have infant outdoor toys!

Whether you're a daycare provider, grandparent, or parent finding the right outdoor toys can be tricky. These are tested and true products that I love and use daily in my home daycare and as a mamaw myself!

INFANT OUTDOOR TOYS

Sun Protection

  1. Shade~ I use this umbrella daily it attaches to a pop up tent, wagon, and a stroller.
  2. Sunblock~ This sunblock applicator is a MUST! I use this on all ages!
  3. Cool air~ Sometimes you just need an extra breeze this portable fan does the job!

Carriers & Sit Up Toys

  1. Baby Carrier~ Sometimes those babies need to be held but we need both of our hands this carrier does the job, and the best part is it's inexpensive!
  2. Play Center~ This interactive toy is nice to have when the infants can sit up on their own and need new scenery!

Portable Toys

  1. Wagon~ This is such a nice tool to have when the kids need to sit up but want moved. Bonus it holds extras for outside too! If they fall asleep they have a safe place to lay down too!
  2. Pop up tent~ We use this every single day and it's so easy to pop up, take down, and move around the yard! Bonus this can be used indoors as well!
  3. Pop up tent mat~ This mat is wonderful for spaces that are not soft.
  4. Pop up tent mat cover~ This mat cover isn't a must-have however, it protects your mat from stains.

Fun Additions

  1. Bubble Machine~ I turn this on near the babies while in the pop up tent or wagon and they LOVE watching the bubbles! Bonus the older kids chase the bubbles and now the infants have two things to watch!
  2. Baby Splash Pad~ The babies love to put their feet in the water as long as it's warm!
  3. Outdoor Swing~ You can add this to a swingset, porch, or a sturdy tree branch. Bonus the older kids love to help swing the babies too!
  4. Teethers & Toys~ I purchased these to keep for outside toys. I sanitize them at the end of the day and store them in my pop up tent.
